The work of Sandra Backlund has been one of my biggest inspirations since specialising in knitted textiles. Her work is very structural and often very abstract but still very wearable. My knit work I am currently producing is inspired by the theme of architecture, I am using Backlund's work as inspiration and to try and create similar structural fabrics. I was lucky enough to see some of Backlund's work when I visited the Fashion and Textiles Museum in London last year.
